Advancing Responsible AI: Highlights from ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥â€™s 7th Research Forum

 

The School of Computing and Information Technologies – Computer Science, known for bridging academe and industry through IT-driven programs, held its 7th Research Forum on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The event centered on the theme “Responsible AI for Sustainable Development: Aligning Research with Global Goals and Industry Standards.†It showcased research papers by Computer Science students, highlighting acceptable, doable, and innovative projects that reflected the quality and diversity of Computer Science research at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥.

The forum highlighted responsible AI for sustainable development through two expert plenary speakers: Ms. Anna Maureen Agos, a Security Delivery Manager at a multinational company and AI Management System Lead Implementer, and Ms. Rhea-Luz Valbuena, SoCIT Executive Director, passionate advocate of ethical AI adoption and digital transformation advisor.

 

Additionally, the forum served as the venue for selecting the Best Thesis, with a panel of  industry expert judges: Ms. Anna Maureen Agos, a Security Delivery Manager at a multinational company and AI Management System Lead Implementer; Ms. Jeniffer Arroyo, a Champion AWS Authorized Instruction holding multiple AWS certifications; Ms. Anabelle Ibuyan, a Security Delivery Associate Manager with 18 years of experience in IT and information security; and Mr. Boogie Boydon, the creator of The Davidic Growth Paradigm and an advocate of augmented intelligence to empower people.
